Softball Game Preview: Gloucester County Tech vs. Maple Shade Wildcats

Gloucester County Tech will head out to square off against the Maple Shade Wildcats at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Gloucester County Tech didn't have quite enough to beat Kingsway and fell 8-7.

Cameryn Hilliard made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Madison Kroupa was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Maple Shade and Pemberton meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over the Hornets. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won seven in a row.

The win got Maple Shade back to even at 9-9. As for Gloucester County Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 14-13.
