Volleyball Recap: Luther Knights vs. Westby Norsemen
Luther lost against Westby back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Knights fell 3-1 to the Norsemen. While the Knights didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Norsemen 25-14 in the first set.
Luther started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 14-25, 25-21, 25-21, 26-24.
Despite the loss, Luther still got an impressive performance from Kamryn Anderson, who had 27 digs and three assists. Addy Palubicki also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
Emma Kirner had an outrageously good game for Westby as she had 20 digs and six assists. Those six assists gave Kirner a new career-high.
Luther's loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Westby, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-14 record this season.
Luther will take on Viroqua at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westby does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
