Basketball Recap: Fertile-Beltrami Comes Up Short

Fertile-Beltrami lost against Park Christian back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Fertile-Beltrami Falcons came up short against the Park Christian Falcons, falling 66-42. While losing is never fun, Fertile-Beltrami can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 229th, while Park Christian is ranked 89th).

Libby Suckert continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Park Christian, going 10 of 20 en route to 24 points and eight rebounds. The match was Suckert's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Annika Johnson, who posted ten points in addition to seven boards and five steals.

Fertile-Beltrami now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Park Christian, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Fertile-Beltrami has already played their next game (against Polk County West [Climax/Fisher]), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Park Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-46 loss against Mayer Lutheran on the 1st.
