Volleyball Recap: The Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Olivia Deleon and Jaelyn Farmer + How To Watch

After flying high against Arrupe Jesuit on Tuesday, The Academy came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell 3-1 to the Jefferson Academy Jaguars on Friday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jaelyn Farmer, who had 13 digs and two aces, and Olivia Deleon, who had 20 digs and two aces. Farmer has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Jefferson Academy found their leader in freshman Tailey Sengdara, who had 11 digs and two aces. Those 11 digs set a new season-high mark for Sengdara.

The Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Jefferson Academy, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

The Academy has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Lutheran on the 29th. As for Jefferson Academy, they will challenge Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
