Soccer Game Preview: Empire vs. Westview

The Empire Ravens will take on the Westview Knights in a tournament on Monday.

Last Monday, Empire didn't have quite enough to beat Cholla and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, Westview kept a clean sheet against Combs two weeks ago. They blew past the Coyotes 4-0. The result was nothing new for Westview, who have now won four contests by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Combs with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from David Gomez, Matthew Gonzalez, Luis Montoya, and Raymundo Gomez.

Empire's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Westview, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1-1.

Empire beat Westview 3-1 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Will the Ravens repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
