Volleyball Game Preview: Lexington Yellowjackets vs. Gray Stone Day Knights

The Lexington Yellowjackets will head out to square off against the Gray Stone Day Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Lexington is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Lexington had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Central Davidson on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Spartans.

While Lexington won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-20, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Gray Stone Day came up short against Triad Math and Science Academy on Wednesday and fell 3-1.

While Gray Stone Day ultimately came up short, they really made Triad Math and Science Academy work, particularly in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-13, 20-25, 25-16, 26-24.

Lexington's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Gray Stone Day, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.
