Baseball Recap: Arroyo Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Arroyo dropped their record down to 11-9-1 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They fell 3-0 to the Rosemead Panthers. The game marked the first time this year in which the Knights were not able to get on the board.

Noah Fonseca was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

As for Rosemead, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games.

On Rosemead's side, the result came thanks to Sebastian Genie's shutout, as he gave up just a hit. Genie has become a key player for the Panthers: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most two hits, but 4-11 otherwise.

At the plate, Rosemead's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Richard Gonzalez, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Those two hits gave Gonzalez a new career-high.
