Volleyball Game Preview: Burlington Red Devils vs. Belmont Marauders

The Burlington Red Devils will challenge the Belmont Marauders at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Burlington is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Burlington came up short against Somerville and fell 3-1.

Burlington was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Somerville work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-22, 21-25, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Belmont came into Wednesday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out Wakefield Memorial 3-2.

Belmont wouldn't go down easily and took Wakefield Memorial into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-19, 23-25, 13-25, 15-8.

Belmont's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Burlington, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
