Softball Recap: Deming Comes Up Short

Deming was the 9-7 winner over Goddard when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 5-3 on Thursday.

Cristal Enriquez made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. McKenzie Trejo also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Deming's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Goddard, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Coincidentally, Deming and Goddard will both be playing Los Lunas the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will head out to face the Tigers at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Rockets will head out to face them at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
