Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Slidell). They blew past the Woodlawn-B.R. Panthers 16-1 on Saturday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Tigers with their most commanding win of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Slidell and bumps their season record up to 5-8. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Woodlawn-B.R., they dropped their record down to 6-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Slidell Tigers take on Northshore Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Woodlawn-B.R., they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-2 defeat against Fontainebleau on the 22nd.
