Softball Recap: South Stokes Has No Trouble Against Elkin

South Stokes lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Elkin, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's matchup. The Sauras blew past the Buckin' Elks 17-1 on Tuesday. Considering the Sauras have won four contests by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for South Stokes and bumps their season record up to 7-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Elkin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Stokes will take on North Surry at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Sauras are facing the Greyhounds at the right time seeing as the Greyhounds are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Elkin, they will face off against East Wilkes at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
