Basketball Recap: Zymir Martin's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mount View over Wyoming East

Mount View lost against Wyoming East back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mount View Golden Knights took a hard 62-44 fall against the Wyoming East Warriors. While the Golden Knights didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 17-10 in the first quarter.

Mount View's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was ZyMir Martin, who posted 14 points. The dominant performance also gave Martin a new career-high in blocks (two). Ky'Rece Hughes was another key player, putting up nine points.

Mount View's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Wyoming East, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.

Coincidentally, Mount View and Wyoming East will both be playing Mingo Central the next time they take the court. Wyoming East will head out to face Mingo Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Mount View will host them at 7:30 p.m. on February 21st.
