Baseball Recap: Lighthouse Christian Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

After only one run in their last matchup, Lighthouse Christian made sure to put some runs up on the board against New Covenant Academy on Thursday. The Chargers walked away with a 13-8 win over the Warriors.

The team relied heavily on Braden Wright, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

Lighthouse Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for New Covenant Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lighthouse Christian will square off against Clever on Saturday. As for New Covenant Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pleasant Hope at 4:30 p.m. on the 28th.
