Mead takes loss despite strong performances from Riley Koranda and Taylar Shull

Recap: Mead Raiders vs. Omaha Christian Academy Eagles
Sadly, the Mead Raiders are still looking for their first win of the season after 21 matchups. They fell to Omaha Christian Academy 38-34. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Mead of the 51-29 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
Mead's loss on Friday came despite strong showings from Taylar Shull and Riley Koranda. Shull scored 11 points along with seven steals, while Koranda scored six points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Shull has scored all season.
Mead dropped their record down to 0-21 with that loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Omaha Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-12.
Mead will head out on the road to face off against Meridian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Meridian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday. Omaha Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
