Basketball Recap: Barrow Skates Past Hutchison with Ease

Barrow won the last time they faced Hutchison and things went their way on Thursday too. The Barrow Whalers took their matchup with ease, bagging a 64-28 win over the Hutchison Hawks. The game marked the Whalers' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Hutchison's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Logan Penn, who posted 12 points. That's the most points Penn has posted since back in February of 2024. Aiden Belt was another key player, putting up five points and four steals.

Barrow's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Hutchison, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-6 record.
