Baseball Game Preview: West Fork Gators vs. Crosby Cougars

The West Fork Gators will square off against the Crosby Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Fork's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Crosby's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

If West Fork beats Crosby with nine runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Everything went the Gators' way against Pasadena on Thursday as they made off with a 9-2 victory. The Gators have beaten the Eagles the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Crosby duked it out with Kingwood Park back in March. The Cougars came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers, sneaking past 2-1. The game was the first time the Cougars have beaten the Panthers on their field since March 29, 2016.

The win got West Fork back to even at 13-13. As for Crosby, their victory bumped their record up to 16-6-1.

West Fork suffered a grim 12-5 defeat to Crosby in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Gators avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
