Baseball Recap: Northwestern Comes Up Short

Northwestern fell victim to Waynedale and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 13-0 to the Golden Bears. The defeat continues a trend for the Huskies in their meetings with the Golden Bears: they've now lost five in a row.

Northwestern saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Sigler, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Northwestern's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Waynedale, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-2.

While Northwestern had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
