Basketball Recap: University Prep Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Riverside Prep, University Prep was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They snuck past Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy with a 43-39 victory. For the Jaguars, this counts as revenge for the 59-30 win Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

University Prep found their leader in freshman JOSHUA OKEKE, who posted 19 points. BRANDON MARTINEZ was another key player, putting up seven points and four blocks.

University Prep's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

University Prep will challenge Silver Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy, they will square off against Academy for Academic Excellence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
