Baseball Preview: Central Tigers vs. Dewar Dragons
Central is 0-3 against Dewar since April of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Dragons at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Central headed into their last game having not scored more than two runs for three straight, but Roland let them put that streak behind them. The Tigers blew past the Rangers 13-2 on Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Dewar and Weleetka, and Dewar kept the tradition alive. The Dragons put the hurt on the Outlaws with a sharp 10-1 win on Monday. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by six runs or more this season.
Lukas Walden and Traber Jones did most of the damage at the plate: Walden went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Jones went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
