Baseball Game Preview: Central Tigers vs. Dewar Dragons

Central is 0-3 against Dewar since April of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Dragons at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Central headed into their last game having not scored more than two runs for three straight, but Roland let them put that streak behind them. The Tigers blew past the Rangers 13-2 on Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Dewar and Weleetka, and Dewar kept the tradition alive. The Dragons put the hurt on the Outlaws with a sharp 10-1 win on Monday. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by six runs or more this season.

Lukas Walden and Traber Jones did most of the damage at the plate: Walden went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Jones went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Braelin Lewis, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Dewar was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2025.

The victory got Central back to even at 3-3. As for Dewar, their win bumped their record up to 11-1.

Central suffered a grim 13-5 defeat to Dewar when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
