Softball Recap: Sidney Comes Up Short

Bainbridge-Guilford hit Sidney with a seven-run third inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Team came up short against the Bobcats, falling 19-4. The matchup marked the Team's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Sidney saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kate Young, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Sidney has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Bainbridge-Guilford, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Sidney will be playing at home against Dryden at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Team are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Bainbridge-Guilford, they are taking a road trip to challenge Moravia at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
