The Spartanburg Vikings will square off against the Wade Hampton Generals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Spartanburg sitting on three straight wins and Wade Hampton on four.
Spartanburg will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Gaffney, who they had gone 0-8 against in their eight prior meetings. Spartanburg walked away with a 10-7 victory over Gaffney on Wednesday.

Sydney Anderson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high.
At the plate, Brooklin Garduno and Madi House did most of the damage at the plate: Garduno went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while House scored three runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Ameeliyah Geter, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Wade Hampton hadn't beaten Riverside on the road since April 20, 2018 but that history sure didn't bother them on Wednesday. Wade Hampton skirted past Riverside 4-2.
Wade Hampton also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Kellyn Kingston gave up just two earned runs on four hits. Kingston has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Breleigh Betsill, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Eden Morford also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Wade Hampton's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Spartanburg, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Spartanburg took their win against Wade Hampton when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0. Will Spartanburg repeat their success, or does Wade Hampton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
