Recap: Larimore Polar Bears vs. Drayton/Valley-Edinburg Titans
The Larimore Polar Bears lost against the Drayton/Valley-Edinburg Titans back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Larimore fell 58-50 to the Titans. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Larimore in their matchups with the Titans: they've now lost nine in a row.
Despite the loss, Larimore still got an impressive performance from Michael Myers, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 20 rebounds. Myers hasn't dropped below 15 rebounds for five straight games. Baron Burns was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three steals.
Larimore's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Drayton/Valley-Edinburg, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Larimore is on the road again on Friday and plays the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in North Dakota (Griggs County Central/Midkota is ranked 89th, while the Polar Bears are ranked 64th). As for Drayton/Valley-Edinburg, they will head out on the road to square off against the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Midway/Minto has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 217 points over their last three matches.
