Softball Recap: Shawnee Mission South Starts Season with Victory at Home

Shawnee Mission South took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Washington Wildcats a 15-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Washington is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Shawnee Mission South does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Washington, they will face off against Leavenworth at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The PIONEERS have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.57 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
