Soccer Recap: North Stanly Takes a Loss

If North Stanly was feeling good fresh off their 9-0 takedown of South Stanly on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Comets fell 3-1 to the Mount Pleasant Tigers on Thursday. North Stanly haven't had much luck with Mount Pleasant recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

North Stanly's goal came courtesy of Olivia McDonald, which was the first she's scored this season.

North Stanly's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12-1. As for Mount Pleasant, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

Mount Pleasant has already played their next game, a 1-1 draw against East Rowan on the 21st. Hopefully North Stanly paid attention to the Tigers' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on April 30.
