Jac-Cen-Del hasn't had much luck against Rising Sun recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Eagles will welcome the Shiners at 5:00 p.m. Jac-Cen-Del is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.
Jac-Cen-Del took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Switzerland County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Pacers 3-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Blake Wagner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Jac-Cen-Del is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-7 otherwise.
At the plate, Jac-Cen-Del's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Ricke, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Rising Sun, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over South Ripley on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Shiners have posted against the Raiders since May 16, 2022.
Aiden White made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Landon Simpson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Brayden Burris was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Rising Sun kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 8.8.
Rising Sun's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11. As for Jac-Cen-Del, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.
Rising Sun's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Jac-Cen-Del has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .437. It's a different story for Rising Sun, though, as they've only averaged .349. Will they be able to contain Jac-Cen-Del's hitters?
