After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Archbold, Swanton was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Toledo Christian Eagles by a score of 10-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). Considering the Bulldogs have won six matchups by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Beyla Remer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lacey Shinaver, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Carli LaGrange also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
