West Florence put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the White Knoll Timberwolves by a score of 11-6. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 8-0 victory the Timberwolves walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2016.

Matthew Brown and Avery Weaver made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Brown tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Weaver didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. Brown has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Brown scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4, while Weaver scored a run while going 1-for-4. That stolen base was Brown's first of the season.

In other batting news, Ryan Coscetti was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Haynes, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

West Florence pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for White Knoll, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

West Florence didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against South Florence on the 18th. As for White Knoll, they have also already played their next matchup, a 10-5 defeat against River Bluff on the 18th.
