Brawley gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cathedral City Lions 75-21. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

When it comes to explaining why Cathedral City lost, don't look at David Delgado. Despite the final result, he shot 45% from the field on his way to 13 points. Delgado is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games he's played dating back to last season.

This is the second loss in a row for Cathedral City and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Brawley will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Imperial at 7:00 p.m. on December 8. As for Cathedral City, they and Palo Verde Valley will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.
