Basketball Game Preview: Quemado Eagles vs. Animas Panthers

Quemado is on a three-game streak of home losses, Animas an 18-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Thursday. The Quemado Eagles will welcome the Animas Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Quemado is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 75 points on Thursday, they were much more limited against Magdalena on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 71-17 loss at the hands of the Steers. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Animas ended up a good deal behind Cliff on Tuesday and lost 61-43.

Animas' defeat dropped their record down to 0-22. As for Quemado, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12.

Quemado strolled past Animas in their previous matchup on February 1st by a score of 54-38. Does Quemado have another victory up their sleeve, or will Animas turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
