Volleyball Recap: Dr. Krop Victorious + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Dr. Krop walked away with it. They won by a set and slipped past the Flanagan Falcons 3-2. The Lightning haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (104-93) Dr. Krop actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21, 13-25, 15-25, 15-13.

Amari Gunning paced Dr. Krop's offense, picking up 18 kills. Gunning got some help from Mia Morra and her 23 assists. Finally, Gunning was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high 11 blocks.

Despite the loss, Flanagan saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Anais Dumaoal had 22 digs and seven aces. Those 22 digs set a new season-high mark for Dumaoal.

Dr. Krop's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Flanagan, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.

Dr. Krop has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Mater Academy Charter on the 14th. Flanagan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
