Soccer Game Preview: Space Coast vs. Melbourne Central Catholic

The Space Coast Vipers will square off against the Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Space Coast is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.

Melbourne Central Catholic better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Space Coast really get things going. Space Coast's defense stepped up to hand Cocoa a 6-0 shutout on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Vipers needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

Their offense was hitting Cocoa from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Tony Allotta led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Melbourne Central Catholic won against Master's Academy on Thursday with three goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Monday. Melbourne Central Catholic came out on top against John Carroll Catholic by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hustlers.

Space Coast's victory bumped their record up to 6-7-1. As for Melbourne Central Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 9-4-1.
