Ridgeline and Sky View are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Riverhawks will be playing at home against the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Ridgeline comes in on four and Sky View on three.
If Ridgeline beats Sky View with 50 points on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Riverhawks beat Mountain Crest on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 50-49.
Cam Earl had another great game (as he tends to do), shooting 55% from the field on his way to 18 points. Another player making a difference was Parker Reynolds, who posted eight points and six rebounds.
Ridgeline was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They are 9-1 when they've passed the ball that well.
Meanwhile, Sky View got the win against Deseret Peak on Friday by a conclusive 83-58. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 138th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sky View's win came from a few key players that Ridgeline will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Easton Mills, who went 7-for-11 en route to 14 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of MacAde Rolle, who scored 11 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds.
Sky View's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Ridgeline, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Ridgeline has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 28.1 boards per game. However, it's not like Sky View struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26.4 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Ridgeline beat Sky View 58-48 in their previous matchup back in January of 2025. Will the Riverhawks repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
