Baseball Recap: Marissa/Coulterville Comes Up Short

Marissa/Coulterville and Christ Our Rock Lutheran squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Marissa/Coulterville had to settle for second. They lost 11-3 to the Silver Stallions. The Meteors haven't had much luck with the Silver Stallions recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Marissa/Coulterville saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Steinwagner, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Marissa/Coulterville's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Christ Our Rock Lutheran, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.

Marissa/Coulterville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Christ Our Rock Lutheran, they will take on Father McGivney Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Griffins will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Silver Stallions surely won't give up without a fight.
