Volleyball Recap: Burlingame Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Sam Hollrah and Addie Uhrich

Burlingame was the 3-2 winner over Aragon when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dons on Tuesday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Aragon scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 23-25, 25-17, 25-23.

Burlingame's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Addie Uhrich, who had 12 digs and two aces, and Sam Hollrah, who had 11 digs and one assist. Hollrah is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. Sophia Guzman also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Among those leading the charge was Sosefina Tatola, who had 13 digs and two assists.

Burlingame's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Aragon, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Burlingame wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Hillsdale on the 25th. As for Aragon, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Menlo-Atherton on the 25th.
