Softball Recap: Rancho San Juan Takes a Loss

Rancho San Juan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 15-4 to the Carmel Padres.

Delylah Magdaleno was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Castillo, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases.

Rancho San Juan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Carmel, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Rancho San Juan is set to face off against their familiar foe Stevenson at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Carmel will square off against rival Soledad at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
