Soccer Game Preview: Manteo vs. Seaforth

The Manteo Redskins will head out to square off against the Seaforth Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Manteo comes in on four and Seaforth on 16.

Manteo is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over North Johnston. Considering Manteo have won 15 games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Seaforth kept a clean sheet against NCSSM: Durham on Thursday. They skirted past the Unicorns 1-0. Seaforth's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last 11 matchups.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Sofia Viana, who's now up to 38 this season.

Seaforth's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-2-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those ten contests. As for Manteo, their victory bumped their record up to 16-6.
