University is 10-0 against Preston since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The University Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Preston Knights at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

University took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They secured a 58-52 W over Parkersburg South. The win was all the more spectacular given the Hawks' disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 190th, while the Patriots are ranked 14th).

Meanwhile, Preston had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They skirted past the Huskies 55-52. While the Knights didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Preston's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. As for University, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.

Everything came up roses for University against Preston in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the squad secured an 85-42 victory. Does University have another victory up their sleeve, or will Preston turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
