Recap: Clearwater Academy International Knights vs. Venice Indians
It was a good run, but The Clearwater Academy International Knights unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Venice. Clearwater Academy International was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Venice apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Jamarice Wilder was a one-man wrecking crew for Venice as he rushed for 177 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Charles Lester iii "cl3" got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Clearwater Academy International's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Venice, their victory was their seventh straight at home , which pushed their record up to 8-2.
Clearwater Academy International does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Venice has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Lakewood Ranch at 7:30 p.m. on November 10th. Lakewood Ranch will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 306th, while Venice is ranked 14th).
