Basketball Game Preview: Montabella Mustangs vs. Breckenridge Huskies

The Montabella Mustangs will face off against the Breckenridge Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Tuesday, Montabella was beaten by Sacred Heart Academy 86-31. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Irish: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Breckenridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 53-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Vestaburg.

Montabella's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Breckenridge, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Montabella didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Breckenridge when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 48-43 victory. Will Montabella repeat their success, or does Breckenridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
