Basketball Game Preview: Hector Wildcats vs. Danville Little Johns

Hector is 2-8 against Danville since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Hector Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Danville Little Johns at 6:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Hector challenged Acorn on Tuesday. Hector was beaten by Acorn 80-33. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while the Tigers are ranked 80th).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 52-20, which was the final score in Danville's tilt against Hackett on Tuesday. The Little Johns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hector's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Danville, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-10.

Hector came up short against Danville in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, falling 48-42. Can Hector avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
