Volleyball Recap: Bishop Carroll Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Bishop Carroll lost against Richland back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Huskies came up short against the Rams, falling 3-0. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bishop Carroll was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Richland work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 28-26, 25-17.

Olivia Gregg paced Bishop Carroll's offense, picking up eight kills. Gregg got some help from Lily Ann Strait and her 20 assists. Finally, Emily Olienyk kept Bishop Carroll's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Hailey Buck was the offensive standout of the match as she had 12 digs and two aces.

Bishop Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 6-9-2. As for Richland, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 21-2-2.

Bishop Carroll has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Greater Johnstown on the 23rd. As for Richland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Somerset on the 23rd.
