St. Luke's Episcopal came tearing into Tuesday's match with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the St. Michael Catholic Cardinals by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-16.

Colbie Acosta paced St. Luke's Episcopal's offense, picking up nine kills. Acosta got some help from Baker Garside and her 23 assists. Acosta was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

St. Luke's Episcopal's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for St. Michael Catholic, they moved to 6-7 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, St. Luke's Episcopal and St. Michael Catholic will both be playing Mary G. Montgomery the next time they take the court. The Cardinals will head out to face the Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
