Preview: Brewer Patriots vs. West Morgan Rebels

Brewer has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the West Morgan Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Brewer didn't have too much trouble with Brindlee Mountain at home as they won 53-34. That's two games straight that Brewer has won by exactly 19 points.

Jackson Dunn and Austyn Holmes were among the main playmakers for Brewer as the former scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and the latter scored 20 points along with three steals. The match was Holmes' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cam Ballinger, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.

Meanwhile, West Morgan scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They came out on top against Danville by a score of 80-69. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Brewer pushed their record up to 6-8 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for West Morgan, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Brewer came up short against West Morgan in their previous matchup back in January, falling 56-49. Can Brewer avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
