Volleyball Recap: Wells Comes Up Short

Wells was the 2-0 winner over Farragut when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Admirals on Monday. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wells may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 18 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18.

Jalen Barrett paced Wells' offense, picking up five kills. Barrett got some help from Rafael De La Paz and his eight assists. Terrell Brooks controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Farragut, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wells will square off against rival Spry Community Links at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Farragut is set to face off against their familiar foe Instituto Health Sciences at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
