Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vancleave). They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the George County Rebels 27-24. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly three points.

Vancleave's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2. As for George County, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vancleave will head out to challenge Hancock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for George County, they will head out on the road to square off against Wayne County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. George County is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
