Softball Recap: Sunnyside Comes Up Short

Sunnyside fell victim to McLane and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Highlanders, falling 10-0. The Wildcats have struggled against the Highlanders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Sunnyside's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for McLane, they now have a winning record of 9-8-1.

Looking ahead, Sunnyside will challenge Justin Garza at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Guardians have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for McLane, they are taking a road trip to take on Sanger West at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Highlanders their first taste of in-conference action this season.
