Pontiac extended their postseason success on Friday against LaSalle-Peru. They never let the Cavaliers get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won ten games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Elena Krause made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since May 7th.

Krause wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Payton Rogers, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one double.

Pontiac is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for LaSalle-Peru, their defeat dropped their record down to 30-6.

As of now, neither Pontiac nor the Cavaliers have any future games scheduled.
