Basketball Recap: Ana Champagne's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Huron over Dryden

North Huron lost against Dryden back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The North Huron Warriors took a 32-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dryden Cardinals.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ana Champagne, who posted six points and 12 boards. Champagne is becoming a predictor of North Huron's success: when she posts at least eight rebounds the team is 8-3 (and 2-3 when she doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Souva, who had seven points and seven boards.

North Huron's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Dryden, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

North Huron wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 32-15 defeat against Deckerville on the 14th. As for Dryden, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 71-32 loss against Kingston on the 14th.
