Soccer Game Preview: Batesburg-Leesville vs. American Leadership Academy

The Batesburg-Leesville Panthers will challenge the American Leadership Academy Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Batesburg-Leesville fell victim to Strom Thurmond and their airtight defense on Thursday. They fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, American Leadership Academy's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Greenwood Christian by a score of 2-1. Beckham Adams was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

American Leadership Academy's goal came courtesy of Evan Steffee, who's now up to seven this season.

American Leadership Academy now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Batesburg-Leesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Batesburg-Leesville came out on top in a nail-biter against American Leadership Academy when the teams last played two weeks ago, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
