Del Oro came tearing into Friday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Rocklin Thunder by a score of 5-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-2 back in March.

Mikayla Finn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Avyn Brower was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Davidson, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Del Oro pushed their record up to 19-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Rocklin, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 13-3 record.

Del Oro has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Destiny Christian Academy on the 21st. As for Rocklin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 7-2 victory against Folsom on the 23rd.
